Hacklab Circuit Hacking
Monday, January 24, 2011 at 7:00 PM (EST)
Come learn how to solder at hacklab.to, your local hacker hangout! Lessons are free. We will have a bunch of electronics kits on hand to choose from:
- learn to solder merit badge kit ($3)
- bliplace sound reactive pendant kit ($10)
- Trippy RGB Wave kit, responds to movement ($10)
- TV-be-Gone remote control kit ($20)
- Truth Kit galvanic skin response bracelet ($50)
- North Paw compass anklet kit ($149)
Or bring your own! No prior experience necessary. Most kits can be completed in less than an hour even by beginners. Drop in any time after 7pm, stay as little or as long as you like.
Due to limited desk space (and limited number of soldering irons), please RSVP. If you'd rather come at 8pm or 9pm, do so and avoid the rush!
Non-beginners welcome as well: come get help with your project. The instructor has experience with surface mount soldering, circuit debugging, schematics and layout in Eagle, micro-controller programming, etc.
